Scena Mundi Theatre Company produce faithful, innovative stagings of classical plays, with an ethos built on respect of both the text and our discerning modern audience.

PRODUCTIONS

At the heart of what we do are our large-scale, site-specific ensemble productions of classical plays. From Shakespeare to Wilde, our 'stunning', 'superb' and 'mesmerising' performances range from the 'steadfastly historical' to 'in-your-face' and 'visually striking'. Alongside these, we have recently launched Scena Mundi FORUM, a series of dramatised readings followed by an open-floor discussion with guest
speakers.

PRIVATE HIRE

Launched in 2016, The Mechanicals are the new Masters of Concise Comedy, delighting audiences from London private members' clubs to the Isle of Wight's Ventnor Exchange Festival. They are available for Private Hire and provide the perfect entertainment for the most cultured of party hosts. We also offer bespoke readings and entertainment for any occasion.

THE CONSERVATOIRE Training in classical theatre

From Educational and Corporate workshops to one-to-one tuition and Classical Workshop Retreats in the UK and France, Scena Mundi can guide you through the basics of approach to classical text or give your career a boost with audition masterclasses. All workshops are led by Artistic Director Cecilia Dorland and facilitated by our classically trained actors.
